FAQs

How does it work?

Retail drug stores want to earn and keep your business, so they join the AxiaRx pharmacy network. By providing a way for many people to save money on prescription drug costs right at the counter, pharmacies find new customers and retain those they already have.

Pharmacies understand group buying power and this is what the Axia prescription discount card brings to them. They provide a deeper discount knowing that more AxiaRx cardholders will visit their retail pharmacy seeking the deeper discount. The margin they give up is money they would otherwise spend on advertising for your business..

All you do is bring your phone with this app to a participating AxiaRx discount drug card pharmacy, and click on the My Card button. The pharmacy will enter the numbers of the front of the card and the store’s system will then apply the discount directly to your order.

Is this insurance?

No. The AxiaRx card program provides a discount only and may only be used when private or public (Medicare/Medicaid) insurance is not available.

Is the AxiaRx card really free?

It really is! Just press the My Card button, show it at the pharmacy counter and start saving at more than 60,000 pharmacies in the United States, Puerto Rico and Guam. Here's a list of major chains that particiapte or you can search all pharmacies on the main AxiaRx website.

How much can I save?

The average (of both brand and generics) saved with our prescription discount card is well over 45%.

Does every drug get savings?

Estimates are that 60,000 prescription drugs are available at retail pharmacies. Any drug that a prescriber can write a prescription for is availble for a discount with AxiaRx and around 80% of the time the card will provide a discount. The other 20% of the time your own pharmacy's everyday low price is lower that our negotiated rate. You will always be charged the lower of the two prices; the AxiaRx Card discounted price and the everyday pharmacy price.

Where can I use it?

There are currently over 62,000 pharmacies that are part of the Axia prescription discount card pharmacy network, and this number is growing each day. To find out if yours participates just use our pharmacy lookup tool or check our the major pharmacy chains from our mobile app.

Are there any limits?

No limits!  This means you can use it as much as you’d like and you’ll never run into an annual limit. You won’t find any age or residency restrictions, no income limits and you can use one card for everyone in your family - or print out one for everybody!

Will it work for pet meds?

Did you know that there were many prescription drugs that are approved by the FDA for use in both humans and pets? We’ve created a small list of pet medications that a discount drug card may be used for.  The bottom line is if it is stocked by your local pharmacy you should be able to use the AxiaRx discount drug card to get a discount on your pets medications.

Do I have to print a card?

No, you don't have to! Just click on the My Card link in this app and show your screen at the pharmacy counter. That's all there is to it!
